Our school is situated on the island of Samos. It is a school in a small village and this project would offer a great opportunity for our students to get in touch with students of other nationalities while at the same time increasing their sensitivity to environmental issues. Our students have not had the opportunity up to now to be involved in a project of such dimensions and as there are several important environmental issues that our local community faces (disposal of rublish/landfills, energy conservation through our local wind park, nonexistent recycling, an inefficient waste disposal system etc) it will be a good opportunity raise environmental consciousness within the wider community of the school.
